
Ingredients;
-400g chicken mince
-150g mushrooms, chopped
-4 tbsp soy sauce
-2 tbsp of rice wine or dry white wine
-2 tsp honey
-1/4 tsp Chinese five spice
-1/4 tsp salt
-1 tsp minced garlic
-1 tsp minced ginger
-1 cup of water
-boiled rice & veggies to serve
-2 x fried eggs to serve
-shallots and sesame seeds to serve (optional)
Method;
- Mix together soy sauce, wine, honey, Chinese five spice and salt. Set aside.
- Heat a small amount of olive oil in a frypan. Add garlic and ginger and cook for a few minutes.
- Add the mince and cook until just brown. Add the mushrooms to the pan and stir for 2 minutes.
- Next add the sauce you mixed and set aside earlier. Add the cup of water also.
- Mix well and then cover the pan. Leave to simmer on low heat for around 30 minutes or until most of the liquid is evaporated.
- Serve with rice, veggies and top with a boiled egg. Sprinkle with shallots and sesame seeds if desired. Enjoy!
